MCS Calendar 2007-2008, 2008-2009

Students in Morgan County attend school for 180 days each school year. The year is divided into two semesters, each consisting of two 9-week grading periods. The school board approves a school calendar annually in the spring. Traditionally, schools start in early August in order to complete the first semester by Christmas. The second semester begins in January. The school year ends during the last week in May. A number of school days, designated as “snow days,” are built into the calendar.

Development of the MCS Web Site

Students enrolled in Web Page Design at Wartburg Central High School have created and developed this web site. Working with school officials and Central Office staff, the students have experienced first hand the responsibility of organizing and managing a web site of this magnitude.

Each student has taken an active role in making hundreds of decisions about the content, design, and structure of the site. Sections were shared and critiqued by the students prior to being submitted to the School Board and Central Office staff for approval. It is their desire that you will find the information contained in this web site to be relevant, accurate, and helpful.

Baccalaureate and graduation schedules areannounced for each of the four high schools: Coalfield, Oakdale, Sunbright, and Wartburg.
